Stroheim Presents: Notting Hill – a Touch of Nostalgia.
Stroheim adds a touch of nostalgia to its line with a collection of decorative prints and wovens that embody the charm and sophistication of the fashionable neighborhood in London known for its Victorian townhouses, beautiful gardens and Portobello Road antique market – Notting Hill.
Stroheim’s Notting Hill collection has a traditional, yet youthful character comprised of 34 skus including a lovely cottage garden block print linen floral (Dorset); a sophisticated linen print damask (Stancliffe); a bold, multi-color printed stripe on a linen/union ground (Baldwin); a small woven geometric (Adlington); a basic solid wool (Arley) and a solid duck cloth (Essex); and a bold tartan plaid (Barlow). This collection is available in a comprehensive (and fitting) palette of red, brown, olive, natural, grey, charcoal, primrose, sky, denim and indigo.

Designer Profile: Plural Design.
Stephanie Cook of Plural Design recently came to Judy’s Custom Workroom with an inspiration photo and a vision for a glamourous, modern master retreat. She wanted us to create a large-scale headboard that almost looked as if it was an upholstered wall when installed. The finished piece turned out beautiful and really gave the room that hotel-feel that Stephanie wanted. She also had us make a fur throw for the luxurious bedroom. We can’t wait to see what Stephanie brings to us next! We love it when our designers are so excited about their custom creations.
JCW at Student Career Day!
We are always excited to have students and classes come in from the local design schools to meet us, tour our library and workroom, and learn more about the custom furniture process. We are happy to answer questions- we know that window treatments especially can get tricky with yardage, hardware, and motorization, so we are here to help!
Judy’s Custom Workroom recently participated in ASID Orange
County’s Student Career Day at the
Laguna Design Center. We partnered up
with Kravet to give group presentations
throughout the day, about how to work hand
in hand with a custom workroom. There were about 200 students who from all over OC, so it was great to meet tomorrow’s talent!
