Leather or Not

Deciding to use natural leather? Or is faux the way to go?

Of course natural leather is more expensive, but there are other things to consider…

It is important to understand that leather is a natural product. Each hide will vary in size and appearance, while faux leather is consistent in color and pattern. You should consider the size of your project. Due to the size of hide, you will have more seams with natural leather. Faux will cover larger areas with fewer seams. It’s also easier to clean and UV fade resistant. Faux requires no maintanance, but does not develop the same luster and patina as real leather. Natural leather is also more breathable.

There are so many new options and applications for leather today. Upholstery, walls, rugs, even flooring…

It’s All in the Details

One collection we are loving right now is Fabricut’s “Jeweled Obsession” …

Below is a client’s vanity chair that needed a little something more. We added these crystal buttons to really make it sparkle!

Speaking of sparkle, check out JF Fabric’s newest line of decorative hardware! “Evolutions” drapery finials made with Swarovski Elements. Yes please!

Extra special touches make a space come to life. Here at Judy’s Custom Workroom, we have the resources to give you the designer details your furniture and window treatments deserve! We have tons of trims, tassels, tapes, cording, buttons, and other decorative accents to choose from to give your furnishings the “wow” factor.

Arrivals: Koroseal Wall Covering.

Look what just showed up in our library!

While long a fixture here at Judy’s Custom Workroom, Korseal added some new lines to their already extensive product offerings! While we are love everything, our eyes immediately went to their Arte line. Often times when working with our interior design  clients, they are looking for wallcoverings that are unique and a tad different. After all, when people are investing in custom furniture, why would they stop at wallpaper and window treatments that do anything less than add drama and impact to a room?
